I Learn Something New Every Day Teaching ESL

I've been teaching English as a Second Language for 20 years and every day I learn something new. I had worked other jobs but once I stumbled onto ESL, I knew I had to pursue it as a career. At the time, I wanted job skills that would make me employable in any country in the world. Also, I knew that most jobs would bore me once I mastered them. I had to find something challenging, and ESL is definitely the most challenging career I could pursue. It combines my love of language, cultures, communication and people. There is no way I could ever learn everything about how the English language works. Thus, I've decided to create a blog to post the one thing I learn every day about the English language or other cultures.
